At the meeting about transportation, it was mentioned that Tsawwassen is lacking office space. This would likely be a good addition to our town centre so as to provide work opportunities besides in the retail sector or doctor's offices. As well as reducing commuter traffic out of Tsawwassen, we may even attract workers from outside and thus provide the numbers (potential customers) that are so sought after by our merchants.

If we could get artisan shops to locate here, wouldn't it be great entertainment to watch carvers, glass blowers, potters, etc. making their crafts? Tsawwassen Town Centre could become like Granville Island and become a destination place. This may help local shops get more traffic / customers and encourage better public transit to our area without the need to create more housing.

Having buskers and other entertainers in our malls on a regular, continual basis could further entice visitors to our malls. The above ideas will satisfy some of the complaints that there is nothing to do in Tsawwassen while helping the merchants to attract shoppers.
